January 2023

As we are all now ‘living with Covid’ all we ask is for some common sense when attending Heritage. If you suspect you have are have tested positive for Covid, please consider our older and more frail members and refrain from attending Heritage. Common sense and thoughtful hygiene practices should be used at all times. Thank you.

30th November 2021

Dear Members,

For those of you that are attending the Christmas parties on Saturday we would like to make the following important request of you all..

With the increasing concern in rising cases of COVID, in addition to the new variant of concern, we feel it would be prudent to ask that everyone attending, including children, take a lateral flow test on the morning of the party.

We are sure you’ll all agree that no one wants to put our Heri friends or their loved ones at any extra risk of infection and that this has to be the simplest and easiest method to protect our friends and loved ones. Especially with Christmas around the corner.

You can order a lateral flow test (free of charge) here for next day delivery..

https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

We do have some tests remaining at Heritage but it would be easier and simpler if you could all do it at home before you attend.

Many thanks
Heritage M.C.

19th July 2021

Finally freedom day is here! We have removed all social distancing signs and there is no longer a requirement for you to complete the attendance register. All facilities are open, including the sauna building and hot tub.

However, it stands to reason that as restrictions across the country are lifted that the spread of the virus will continue. Numbers of people infected will almost certainly increase all over the UK. We urge all members/visitors to Heritage to use caution and common sense and to remember that your best protection against the virus is your own behaviour.

We will leave out sanitation products and encourage you to use them frequently; for the protection of yourself and your loved ones. Again, if you are clinically vulnerable, we would advise that you carefully consider your visit to Heritage, especially at busy times.

There is no guarantee that Heritage will remain virus free. But with a little thought and consideration for others we can all do our best to keep it that way.

Thank you all again for your understanding and cooperation during these trying times and we wish you all a fantastic summer.

Heritage M.C.

18th July 2021

No further cases of the virus have been reported with any members/visitors having been to Heritage.

15th July 2021

We had had a member report to us last night that they have tested positive for Covid-19. This member was at Heritage between 9th July until 11th July. We have also had two other members report they have been advised by track n trace to isolate, after spending this weekend at Heritage.

As a precautionary measure and in order to minimise any potential transmission of the virus among our members and visitors we have tested all members/visitors on site. All of which tested negative. We have also given all communal surfaces at Heritage a deep clean, sanitising all surfaces and communal areas.

All members/visitors who were at Heritage at the weekend have been contacted and asked to take a Covid-19 test before they return to Heritage.

If you require a free test at home, please go to Order coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid lateral flow tests – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) and you will be sent a test by the next working day.

If you are intending to visit Heritage please familiarise yourself with the risk assessment below. You will be required to sign an attendance register and to confirm that you have read the risk assessment, for each day that you are at Heritage.

21st June 2021

Finally! We are open to one and all, members and non-members alike.

Whilst we await the final (freedom day) Covid-19 de-restrictions from the Government to materialise, the sauna building will remain closed.

The hot tub will also remain closed as we do not have enough volunteers on the pool team to check the chemical levels twice a day; Which is what would be needed to keep it open.

Social events will also be postponed until we are fully de-restricted. With the date anticipated to be 19th July 2021.

If you are intending to visit Heritage please familiarise yourself with the risk assessment below. You will be required to confirm that you have read the risk assessment for each day that you are at Heritage, when you sign in.

17th May 2021

Hurrah! We are now open to members as of 17th May 2021.

Of course there are still some social distancing restrictions in place along with track and trace and the guidelines outllined in the risk assessment.

If all goes according to plan, we are hoping to open to non-members on the 21st June 2021.

Hopefully social distancing measures and the risk assessment guidelines will no longer be needed after this date.

3rd March 2021

In accordance with the latest Government announcement – we are hoping to open to members on the 17th May 2021.

Of course there will still be some social distancing restrictions in place along with track and trace and the guidelines outllined in the risk assessment.

If all goes according to plan, we are hoping to open to non-members on the 21st June 2021. Hopefully social distancing measures and the risk assessment guidelines will no longer be needed after this date.

5th January 2021

Lockdown V3: Heritage will remain closed to all members and non-members at least until the Government decide we can socialise at a distance again.

The latest updates will be displayed on this page and via Herinews.

Thank you all, for your understanding.

29th November 2020

Heritage will remain closed to all members and non-members at least until 10th January 2021.

As we prepare to leave lockdown V2. our ‘tier status’ has been raised to tier 2. As such, meeting people indoors from other households is forbidden as per government instructions. Bearing that in mind, the time of year and the current situation we feel it prudent to remain closed.

Come 10th January next year, we will revise the situation once again.

The latest updates will be displayed on this page and via Herinews.

Thank you all, for your understanding.

1st November 2020

From Thursday 5th November, Heritage will be closed to all members and non-members. This is in line with the second nationwide lockdown, as per Government instructions. We hope to open again in early December, depending on the current Government guidelines at that time.

Thus far, we have had no reports of Covid within Heritage. We want to thank members for keeping up the good work of being mindful with their sanitising regimes whilst at Heritage. Once we open again, we would welcome the same upon your return.

The latest updates will be displayed on this page and via Herinews.

Thank you all, for your understanding.

14th September 2020

From Monday 14 September, you must not meet with people from other households socially in groups of more than 6. This will apply indoors and outdoors, including in private homes. This change will simplify and clarify the rules on social gatherings, so they are easier to understand and easier for the police to enforce. There will be a limited number of exemptions. COVID-19 Secure venues, such as places of worship, restaurants and hospitality venues, can still host larger numbers in total but groups of up to 6 must not mix or form larger groups. This rule will not apply to individual households or support bubbles of more than 6 who will still be able to gather together. Education and work settings are unaffected, and organised team sports will still be able to proceed, as will weddings and funerals up to 30.

10th July 2020

Guidelines: 10th July 2020 onwards:

  1. There is no guarantee that coming to Heritage is safe from Corona virus and we must stress that your visit to the club is at your own risk entirely. We recommend that those of you that are at higher risk (over 70 or have ANY underlying health conditions) think long and hard before visiting.
  2. We ask that members that feel unwell, have lost their sense of taste/smell, or have a cough or temperature please stay at home as well as all other household/family members.
  3. The MC reserve the right to ask any members displaying any illness or symptoms to go home, including their household/family members
  4. Please remember, your best protection against the virus is your own behaviour. We request that all members study the attached risk assessment before coming.
  1. Upon entry to the club ALL MEMBERS are required to register their attendance for EVERY DAY that they are at Heritage. Including their children. 30th June 2020

Dear Members,

We have finally reached stage three of our road map to reopening Heritage and are happy to confirm that we will be open to members only, from the 4th July 2020.

A revised risk assessment has been produced and is below this letter. It is subject to change and long. But we implore you to read it carefully.

If you have read the rev.1 risk assessment already, amendments have been made to sections 10, 12, 22 and 25 and are now showing in the rev. 2 risk assessment.

There are less limitations on facilities, but of course we will have to follow the guidance outlined below and in the rev.2 risk assessment. A copy of the current risk assessment will be available on our website and posted around the club.

We hope you can appreciate the necessity of this course of action and that we can all work together to ensure that we can all enjoy Heritage together (albeit socially distanced) as much as possible.

Covid-19 Corona Virus Risk Assessment 2020 rev.2

Revision 2 has been superseded with a later version at the top of this page.

28th June 2020

Following an M.C. meeting on 28th June 2020 we are happy to announce that we will be opening our doors again to members on the 4th July 2020.

In the following few days we will publish new guidelines and produce a revised risk assessment. We ask that you all study them carefully before coming to Heritage.

Unfortunately, the kids hut, pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna will remain closed whilst we await further lifting of restrictions from the Government.

Hopefully the weather will prove to be good, and we would love to see you at Heritage, whilst you feast your eyes on our (hopefully by-then complete) clubhouse refurbishment.

We hope to open to non-members as soon as possible and will keep you informed on this webpage. If you would like to become a member please apply through our membership application page.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. See you soon.

Heritage M.C.

11th June 2020

During the Covid-19 pandemic we have been studying Government advice, taken professional advice and devised a three stage plan in order to (hopefully) open Heritage to all members from the 4th July.

We have undertaken a comprehensive risk assessment (below) and expect all members to adhere to it in order that we maximise our ability to keep Heritage open.

There will be some limitations on facilities and of course social distancing to consider. In addition to the risk assessment we feel it is pertinent to emphasise the following points:

We request that all members study the below risk assessment before coming.

The target opening date of the 4th July isn’t guaranteed and depends entirely on Government guidelines at that time.

We hope you can appreciate the necessity of this course of action and that we can all work together to ensure that we can all enjoy Heritage together (albeit socially distanced) as soon as possible.

If your device or browser is having difficulty viewing it, please press refresh. Alternatively, you can download the risk assessment here.

Covid-19 Corona Virus Risk Assessment 2020 rev.1

This risk assessment is no longer valid. Please see revision 2 above.

23rd March 2020

Due to the unprecedented UK Government announcement on 23rd March 2020, Heritage has decided to close its doors to members and visitors.
The hot tub has been drained and the pool is closed. The remaining facilities are also shut down.
Whilst this is a regrettable decision to take, we feel we must do our part in order to stem the spread of the pandemic and encourage our members to stay at home and be safe.
We will be monitoring Government advice and hopefully it won’t be too long before we can reopen. Any change of our status will be immediately displayed on our website and disseminated via our internal email system herinews.

Please do not telephone the office or leave messages. No one will be available to answer your query.
In the meantime, the latest Government updates can be found here..

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you for your cooperation.
